UF came back up today, apparently rumors have touched a chord because this was the announcement.
First off we want to say YAY! We are back, and terribly sorry for the long delay. Many issues arose with the migration to a dedicated server that we were not expecting. After much headache we are back! We would like to clarify that UF was not down to “purge” members. Yes we have been made aware that at least one of our members here is not who she claims to be. It is frustrating to think that this person would take an attitude of do as I say not as I do. Whatever happened to integrity and honesty? We have migrated EVERY.SINGLE registered member back to the new server. The migration was just that a migration.
However in 2 weeks time we will be putting all members with less than 10 posts and those who have not posted during this two week window into an inactive mode. All account settings/passwords will be retained and should you decide to become an active member we will reactivate your account. Julie and I would also like to take this time to remind you all that this is an admin led board. We will consider all member opinions and ideas but will focus on what we think is the best direction of the board. That being said we will no longer be activating new accounts unless the new member can reference a current member that invited them and the current member can verify that they indeed did invite the new member.
Isnt it completely normal to weed out those who do not post? Damn, Meleesa, you are really grasping at straws looking for something sinister and dramatic to blog about. Get a new hobby.

Someone should ask Melissa why she could smack talk her sister in the SG while requiring that the BGs member not discuss someone not in the SG.
When her ass was called on the carpet by BGs members in the SG, she decided to crash the board lest her hypocrisy be outed.
The speculation about the board being down to purge members is not so far fetched now, is it?

From Meh’s reaction, I would hazard to guess that we have managed to strike a nerve, or hit the nail on the head there. STFU and name calling is usually a sign of high emotion and no real arguement.

Another interesting tid bit- there was no two week discussion before Melissa bailed on BGs.
She dumped the board in a fit of hissy because she got her ass handed to her. She thoughtfully gave Meleesa less than 24 hours to take over the forum during a cross-state move Meleesa was under going because she could not handle the running of a forum.

Random Poster ~ too true, I was blown away when someone came and asked if there had been negotiations between Melissa and I for me to take over the board. I was so stressed between trying to recover from the Great Crash of ’07 (did Melissa really cause that? hmmm) and having to move across the state, yet being unable to find a place to live. I hadn’t even logged into the BG’s in a week when it was dropped on me.
